Job Description

Seeking an Human Resource (HR) Assistant in Mobile, AL! - $16 plus raise when perm!

Responsibilities for HR Assistant:
  • Assist HR Director/Manager with various projects and carrying out programs/procedures
  • Coordinating job postings, review resumes, and interviews
  • Assist with conducting background checks and drug screening
  • Conduct and coordinate new hire orientation training
  • Prepare new employee files and enter into computer system
  • Administer employee benefit plans including enrollment, changes and terminations; including administration of COBRA
  • Manage annual open enrollment process
  • Handle FMLA paperwork and process
  • Assist HR Director with additional duties as needed

Requirements for HR Assistant:
  • An Associate or Bachelor s degree in Business Administration or Human Resource Management
  • Prior knowledge and understanding of Human Resource practices
  • A minimum of 3 years work experience or acceptable combination of education, training and experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong professional customer service skills
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality in daily HR operations
