Seeking an Human Resource (HR) Assistant in Mobile, AL! - $16 plus raise when perm!
Responsibilities for HR Assistant:
- Assist HR Director/Manager with various projects and carrying out programs/procedures
- Coordinating job postings, review resumes, and interviews
- Assist with conducting background checks and drug screening
- Conduct and coordinate new hire orientation training
- Prepare new employee files and enter into computer system
- Administer employee benefit plans including enrollment, changes and terminations; including administration of COBRA
- Manage annual open enrollment process
- Handle FMLA paperwork and process
- Assist HR Director with additional duties as needed
Requirements for HR Assistant:
- An Associate or Bachelor s degree in Business Administration or Human Resource Management
- Prior knowledge and understanding of Human Resource practices
- A minimum of 3 years work experience or acceptable combination of education, training and experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong professional customer service skills
- Ability to exercise independent judgment
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality in daily HR operations
