Job Description

Seeking an Operations Manager for a large event venue.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Coordinates the operations activities and conversions with other building departments and show-related contractors, making sure all elements are set up and operational as per Event Work Order and show rider.
Hire, train, and schedule staff to ensure that facility is staffed at appropriate levels at all times, while staying within budgeted guidelines
Maintain, develop, and initiate housekeeping and event related programs that meet the business goals of the facility, including, but not limited to: Housekeeping, Setup/Changeovers/Storage areas, Maintenance of event equipment,
Schedule all work hours for full and part time staff. Ability to perform job costing and scheduling of temporary services as needed.
Interview/hire/train/daily guidance of staff in compliant with all ASM Global and governmental labor rules.
Review all documentation related to events (i.E. Work orders, floor plans, estimates, etc)
Daily interactions with all related departments to ensure efficient event management.
Ensure facility rules, regulation policies and procedures are followed by the Operations Department.
Anticipate problems and appropriate solutions. Investigates, analyzes and solves operational problems and complaints.
Monitor maintenance of the facility and associated premises to ensure that the garage/lot is clean, safe, and maintained to standard.
Supervise on-going maintenance projects to ensure quality and timely completion.
Coordinates all event related load in and load out procedures including on site A/V, contractor management, temporary labor and services, digital monitor systems,
Monitors, evaluates and assures facility readiness and smooth operations of events.
Responsible for the Master SDS log in the building.
Serves as Manager on Duty as required. Manages subordinate supervisors for changeovers, is responsible for the overall direction coordination and evaluation of these areas.
Supervision responsibilities of these areas includes interviewing, hiring and training part-time employees; planning, appraising performance and rewarding or disciplining employees in conjunction with Human Resources, addressing complaints and solving problems associated with department employees.
Maintains the supplies inventory and makes orders and adjustments as needed.
Maintains maintenance & repair log with City Public Works.
