MUST BE FULLY VACCINATED! MUST have Hospital Technical Charge Experience, Insurance Benefits Investigations Experience, and Prior-Authorization Experience
Assignment Information: Hourly wage is $15.00 for non-skilled, up to $17/hour for experienced medical billers with at least 2Y in a medical billing environment Hours are M-F, 8: 00am 4: 30pm
Duties the role includes: Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and all health system policies Data Entry Organizing, retrieving, submitting medical documentation Answering & transferring patient calls and/or accepting detailed messages when other staff is not available Daily & timely: insurance claims follow up, response to incoming correspondence, clear and concise documentation of activity Research uninsured accounts for insurance and denials/rejections related to eligibility Review remittance to ensure accurate posting of payments and adjustments
Skills/Experience required: One year in Medical Billing, or one year in a medical office setting required Proficient with Insurance Benefit Investigations and Prior Authorizations Ability to type 40 wpm Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word Good communication skills Congenial with others Detail oriented
Preferred, NOT required: A/R follow-up experience Denial claims experience
